It doesn’t matter if your child is newborn or 21 – my postnatal exercise classes are great for all mums trying to get back into shape.

I felt disconnected with my body after having my child and definitely went through a grieving process for the old me, the old look. After a combination of the right diet and exercise programme, I am now training to compete in a natural bikini competition – I want to teach my mums the moves I use to shape my bum, reduce my bingo wings and tone my entire body – and FEEL BETTER.

It’s not about being skinny, it’s about being strong and fit and creating strong curves.

You can’t out-train a bad diet so please consider joining our nutrition/Supercharge Club missions whilst doing your postnatal exercise programme. A combination of the two gets faster, better results.

 

What happens in Zipped Up Postnatal Exercise Classes

 

image4The core classes are about reconnecting with those lost tummy muscles, strengthening your core which will in turn help to alter and improve your posture. If you have tummy separation you can read a bit more about it in my blog here.

Don’t abuse your body by bootcamp style workouts until your body is stronger and your core is strengthened – instead nourish it and get it feeling and functioning better on all levels. You can then move onto my harder classes when you are ready.

The Zipped Up classes are a fusion of Stott Pilates with added exercises using resistance bands, weights and natural body weight to tone the body all over.

You will leave feeling stretched, toned and knowing that you did something good for your body – as well as feeling better for that time out, that time for YOU.

Learn to stop feeling negative about your body – we often fall out of love with ourselves and therefore forget our bodies have gone through a major transformation. Our bodies did an amazing thing and it needs attention and care again.

There is no jumping around in these classes – it’s no secret I don’t like cardio! And yet they are challenging too! You will get your heart pumping, you will get hot and you will likely ache the next day – but that means you have worked hard – so well done!

You can learn my secrets to zipping up separated tummy muscles and those jeans! The secret isn’t hundreds of sit up and planks – these make our tummies dome even more! It’s about zipping in and up, not pushing things out!

Babies are welcome to all core classes –  I don’t want lack of childcare to stop you doing something for you!

 

The Hiit The Weights & Sunday SCULPT classes

Once you have strengthened your core and are feeling more energetic, you can then join the Thursday Hiit the Weights class. This class aims to kick start your fat loss and improve your body strength – you can bring your baby to this class – in fact even older kids love it and often join in!  We concentrate on sculpting the curves, toning the bingo wings and lifting those bottoms.  This class has quick blasts of cardio to help improve fitness and fat loss. I also use plyometric training to exert maximum power which in turn increases, strength, speed and stamina.

 

The Sunday Class is a weighted workout. It’s a little bit slower paced than Thursdays class so it’s perfect for those Mums that want to add weights to their routine without worrying that jumping around will mean their boobs give them 2 black eyes!!!!  This class is strictly no children due to safety restrictions at the venue.

 

Women require different exercises to men to sculpt and tone and often mixed group classes won’t reach those hard to tone areas of your gorgeous womanly curves.
